Amelie Rose

Our seventh vessel launched in May 2009 is the 44’ Amelie Rose. Her construction is traditional as ever with sawn oak frames, oak topside planking, larch below, bronze and copper fastened throughout. Her design is sister to Ezra, a very sound seaworthy vessel working hard in the tough waters of Scotland. This new sister has the same old-fashioned look with her lute stern; a type of hull shape that fell out of fashion back in the mid 19th century. Our first vessel in this design Agnes proved so successful that it is only fair more sisters should be given a lease of life and I am sure many more will follow.

Amelie Rose is sailed smartly by her owners Nick and Melisa of Topsail Adventures and often takes part in races and regattas between the Solent and the Westcountry. She was built for a life in charter with a large saloon and sleeps 9. Sailing from her homeport of Poole in Dorset she cruises to the Channel isles and Normandy.
